Location

Positioned at Undara Volcanic National Park, off the Savannah Way, Tropical North Queensland. Undara Experience is surrounded by pristine savannah woodlands.

The Lodge is highly accessible by conventional vehicle, coach, rail and has its own airstrip.

Accommodation

Refurbished turn-of-the century railway carriages lovingly brought to the bush & restored into unique accommodation. Carriages comprises 53 beds in double, twin, single and family configuations. Share bathrooms (max 2 rooms per bathroom) and 6 ensuite double rooms available.

Wilderness Lodge accommodation comprises triple bunkhouse set in its own private courtyard. Features central, shady camp kitchen, picnic area and own campfire.

Refurbished in '04, the Swags Tent village is camping without roughing it - each tent is set off the ground with beds, lighting and cooler boxes. Clean central amenities

The Safari Shelter is perfect for tag-a-long and groups with their own tents/vans. Features central camp endless camping and dedicated amenities. Camp & van sites available also.

Catering Information

Fettlers Iron Pot Bistro is a wonderful combination of relaxed, outdoor yet undercover, dining area with railway carriages. Fully licensed, enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the Saloon Bar or a afternoon tea on Mitchell's Deck.

Bush Breakfast is served at the Ringer's Camp just a 5 minute walk from main reception. Listen to the bird chorus and watch the wildlife as your breakie is cooked on the campfire coals and your billy tea made the bush way.

Banquet and BBQ menus available for groups. The finest ingredients are sourced from the Tablelands enabling Undara Experience to impress you with our homestyle, good cuisine.
